Lately I've really been trying to improve my draftsmanship by limiting the majority of my work to open lines. It's amazing how much bad drawing you can hide in shadows. But I wanted to do something a little more tonal or painterly or whatever so yeah I took a couple hours and did a study
Love the look of this. Fits the west perfectly!
il Magnifico leonardo da vinci
Reminds me a little bit of the Eastwood stuff Craig Mullins did. Nice work Dan!
Thanks for the format, i most definitly will use it as desktop bg.
Not only is that the best Western, period, but you nailed it, man. Great work, as usual.
You have to do a Charles Bronson piece next. That would be so awesome.
Nice composition! Love the shadows and shapes they form. Great job on the folds of clothing and nailing the squint!
This is killer, dude. The facial expression is perfect. You absolutely nailed it.
That is most excellent!
So good, and so true what you said about shadows, i see artists doing it pretty often, thats why a great artist can have terrible looking boards i suppose, lol.
Whoa dude, great freakin job on this one.
This is great! His face came out so well, I love the eyes.
this shit's bananas yo!!
WOW! love it!!
Great pose, great composition, nice use of colors, good expression and emotion. The left hand is a little wonkey, but everything is is spot on.
