This taught some very valuable lessons. So I may re-color this. But probably not.

Geez Dan every time you post a new painting it blows the old one away and it's not because the old one sucked either. I checked out your blog post on your process and I'm wondering how you add more color digitally to your work? Do you just work in PS. on a multiply layer or overlay possibly? Looks great can't wait for more.

Thanks man that really means a lot! I had my doubts about this one for awhile, mostly because I think now that I've finished I could go back and do it better. (isn't that always the way?)

And as for the working method the majority of the photoshop work is on three layers. the top is set to normal and is for little things like highlights mostly. The middle is the painting set to multiply and the bottom layer is a VERY loose digital painting that has all the colors. It gets more complicated than that towards the end but usually not by much because I have a bad habit of saying I'm done 4 or 5 hours before I probably should.

Thanks again man!
